We are expanding and an opportunity has arisen at Brew By Numbers to step in and lead our ever growing taproom sites as General Manager. The role requires a strong focus on working closely with the marketing & events team to have the best and most fully formed events program in London. The chosen applicant will also work on the growth and upkeep of all taprooms as well as participate in the set up, build out and eventual leading of more taprooms coming online over the next year.
Success in this position will be founded in the attention to the customer experience when visiting Brew By Numbers along with the growth and expansion and events program of all sites. Patrons should be educated on craft beer, our brewing process, the unique location, story and growth of our brand. Candidates must be self-motivated and a self-starter, able to execute on a high level and are capable of collaborating with multiple departments, successfully multi-tasking.
The Tap Room GM will also assist in the strategic planning and budgeting for the tap room as well as have a particular focus on detailed monthly stock takes and wastage reports.
The ideal candidate loves craft beer and is extremely organised and detail orientated, responsible and hard working. This position will be full time with a requirement to evenings and weekends.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Hiring, training and managing tap room staff.
  • Creating weekly rota working within budgeted taproom hours.
  • Oversee Cost Control and profitability of the taproom: Report weekly to Operations Manager.
  • A strong desire to collaboratively lead the direction of the taproom experience while staying up to date on Market and Industry trends and opportunities.
  • Maintain a clean, friendly and welcoming environment for all guests at all times.
  • Communicating beer and merchandise needs for inventory.
  • Completing weekly and monthly inventory tasks.
  • Conducting fun and energetic tours of the brewery.
  • Co-Managing the coordination for all special events hosted in the taproom while keeping a calendar of booked events along with Marketing & Events Team.
  • Sensory Panel Participant.
  • Daily Quality Control metrics to ensure optimal customer experience for all Brew By Numbers guests.
  • Engaging customers, increasing sales, and answering questions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Proactive and timely management of taproom improvements and actively engaged around the development plans for taproom expansion.
  • The job requires moving kegs, cases of beer, and hand truck operations.


DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous brewery or craft beer experience is a must.
  • Hospitality experience is a plus.
  • Retail experience required- both back and front of house experience.


KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Strong knowledge of draft systems with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly.
  • Events planning and coordination experience.
  • Knowledge of and interest in the craft beer industry.
  • Proven success in a retail environment.
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with employees and the general public.
  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment and the ability to multi-task. The ability to think on your feet and adapt, flexibility is key.
  • Strict attention to detail.
  • Advanced computer literacy- excel, word, POS Software, etc.
  • Time management and schedule management.
